Machine Guidance

If you have a practical quarry design, it makes sense to extract exactly against that plan.

Drilling and blasting to a defined level and then digging to it, can make a profound difference to your operations.

Doing so reduces the amount of dust brought back into the pit, reduces instances of toe (and potential harm to operators), makes it easier to collar during drilling and reduces fuel burn.

Machine control and guidance systems ensure that your loading tool and dozer operators can see your designs in their cab and know that they are excavating to the correct profile and levels without the need for external support (e.g. laser levels or use of GPS rovers).

We were instrumental in bringing the first machine guidance systems into quarries and have years of experience in helping to choose the best system, get it working, train operators and support them.

Empower your operators

GPS Rover is definitely a step towards solving this problem, but a more effective way is to fit machine guidance to loading tools and dozers. This enables your operator see exactly where they are in relation to design and dig accordingly.

Ensuring that you have the right designs on each machine can be challenging! Especially if you need to rely on someone to add the designs from a USB key and remember to delete the old designs – systems to manage this remotely can make a big difference.
